IB official and family found dead in official quarter

New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) An official of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and his three family members were found dead in his residence at Manasnagar in Chanakyapuri in Central Delhi today.

Police said while the official, identified as Sreekumaran Nair (40), was found hanging from the ceiling, his 34-year-old wife was found to have slit vital nerves on her hand.

The two children, Aromal (7) and Archa (2), were found dead in the bathroom.

The Police did not confirm whether it is a case of suicide, but said they were looking at other angles also.

The dead bodies were found by the neighbours in their house at the IB quarters at 1030 hrs this morning.

Sreekumaran Nair, a native of Nedumangad in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, had been with the Assam Rifles as Havildar clerk till he got a deputation to the IB in 2003.

The bodies are kept at the R M L Hospital for post-mortem tomorrow.

Srinagar, Apr 30 (UNI) The Dukhtaran-e-Millat (Daughters of Faith) today alleged that ''prostitution, pornography and other vulgarities'' in Jammu and Kashmir were being ''patronised by the state''. Mahoba, Apr 30 (UNI) Police seized 100 kg explosive and arrested a person last night after raiding a house at brajpur in Kulpabad area of the district, police today said.
