CM has a day out on sea with the Navy

Porbander, Apr 30 (UNI) Chief Minister Narendra Modi today ventured into mid-sea on INS Mysore and witnessed Naval exercises here, as part of Gujarat 'Gaurav' day celebrations.

As part of the programme, 'A day in sea with Chief Minister', the Navy demonstrated various war and emergency operations.

Naval Command Flag officer Commanding-in-Chief Vice Admiral Sangram Singh Bias, Western fleet flag officer Rear Admiral Anoop Singh and Gujarat Naval in charge Utpal Vora were with the Chief Minister, apart from Industry Minister Saurabh Patel and Chief Secretary Sudhir Mankad.

Many programmes are lined up tomorrow for the state foundation day tomorrow.

Centre creating confusion on Siachen issue: Rajnath

Jammu, Apr 30 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today accused the Centre of "creating confusion" over the withdrawal of troops from Siachen, the highest battle field in the world. Coimbatore, May 1 (UNI) Two former Union Ministers will have a tough tussle in a triangular contest in the Thondamuthur Assembly constituency. Though initially the fight was only between MDMK treasurer M Kannappan and sitting Congress MLA S R Balasubramanian, BJP candidate and former MLA M Chinnaraj has joined the race. Digital cameras to be installed for assembly polls
