Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Zenith Computers reported sales of Rs 71.36 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31,2006 and net profit of Rs 5.33 crore, an increase of 169 per cent.
The annualized earning per share (EPS) of Q4 FY 06 is Rs 13.78.
For the year ended March 31, 2006, the company's net sales stood at Rs 320.04 crore while net profit for the year ended March 31 2006 rose by 231 per cent at Rs 15.59 crore. EPS for the year works out to Rs 10.07 for same period, the release said.
The growth in profitability was largely due to strong sales in laptop computers which grew by more than 300 per cent during the year.
Zenith Computers continues to dominate the market as the No.1 Indian brand in the laptop segment.
Another contributing factor was the rapid growth in exports to South Africa and Middle East where Zenith offers strong value proposition by bundling education and system management software alongwith its products, the release added.
