UPA not a smooth coalition: Advani

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 29 (UNI) Senior BJP leader L K Advani today said there is a perpetual question mark over the end of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the Centre as it is a negative approach that sustains the coalition.

''I always maintain that it is not a smooth coalition. The strain among the various constituents of the UPA has been there all along,'' Mr Advani, who was on his way to campaign in Tamil Nadu, told newspersons at the airport here.

He was reacting to questions on whether the outcome of the ongoing assembly polls was going to affect the stability of the UPA Government.

''It is a negative approach that sustains the coalition,'' he said.

However, Mr Advani did not make any comment on allegations against Communication and IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran concerning the DTH issue, saying that he would react to it after examining the matter thoroughly.
