Two women succumbed to injuries

Jalandhar, Apr 29 (UNI) Two women passengers, who were injured seriously in a fire on board the Punjab Roadway bus at the city bus stand here yesterday, died in Ludhiana today even as 13 other injured were being treated at hospitals.

A report from Ludhiana quoting hospital sources said that Mrs Bhagwanti(68) and Mrs Sukhwinder Rani(40) succumbed to their injuries at the CMC Hospital, Ludhiana today.

As many as 10 of the 15 injured were shifted to CMC Hospital and DMC Hospital in Ludhiana last night while remaining five were being treated at the Civil Hospital here.

The bus which caught fire after an explosion was leaving the bus stand for Nangal around 1610 hrs yesterday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the explosive experts from the Army who were called by the police authorities to look into the reasons for the fire prima facie held that it was caused by some inflammable material and found no evidence of any explosive material.

Major sex scandle unearthed in Kashmir, politicians involved

C'garh must get special package to deal with naxalism:Minister

Bhopal, Apr 29 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Forest, Revenue and Culture Minister Brajmohan Agrawal today demanded that the Centre provide special package to Chhattisgarh for dealing with naxal menace considering it a national problem. Agreeing that there has been a spurt in naxal violence recently, Mr Agrawal told reporters here that common people had challenged the ultras by launching anti-naxal 'Salwa Judum' movement.
