STPIs at Kakinada : Official

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh IT secretary Ms Ratna Prabha today said new Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) would be set up at Kakinada, apart from the existing five STPI locations in the state.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Ratna said the Centre has approved starting STPI operations at Kakinada from this year which had the market opportunity and availability of human resources.

Suitable space has already been identified to actively launch IT operations.

The new STPI at Kakinada was aimed at creating more options in secondary cities and enable local talent to find employment in IT companies.

She said the STPI has taken up many initiatives in association with the state government to actively promote each of the secondary cities of the state. STPI was also coming up with state of the art incubation infrastructure in the IT hub at software units layout in HITECH city.

Centre to promote Gems trade in NE region
