Sreesanth misses a vote

Kochi, Apr 29 (UNI) While he was busy bringing India laurels, cricketing hero S Sreesanth could not register as a voter and today missed exercising a cherished right the country gives its people.

The 23-year-old pacer did not vote in the Assembly polls in Kerala because his name does not figure in the electoral rolls in his home constituency Kothamangalam in Ernakulam district, where polling is being held today in the second phase of the three-phased elections.

'Between playing matches and everything, I just could not go and register (as a voter),' he told UNI over phone from Bangalore where he is on a visit.

However, he said, the rest of his family, including his mother, father and brother, would exercise their franchise.
