RBI announces 182-day treasury bills auction

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the auction of 182-day GoI treasury bills for a notified amount of Rs 1,500 crore of which Rs 500 crore will be under the regular auction calendar, while Rs 1,000 crore will be under the market stabilisation scheme (MSS), stated a release issued here today.

The auction will be conducted on May 3, using the multiple price auction method.

According to the release, the allocation to the non-competitive bidders will be outside the notified amount, at the discretion of the bank.

Tenders should be submitted in the prescribed form on May 3 by 1230 hrs and the results will be announced on the same evening, stated the release, adding that payments by successful bidders will be on Friday, May 5.

Two killed, as many injured in accident

Aurangabad (Maharashtra) Apr 29 (UNI) Two people were killed the spot and two others seriously injured when a car in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Sillod town of this district in early today. Both the injured have been admitted to the Government Medical and Hospital (GMCH) while the Sillod rural police have registered an offence against the truck driver for rash driving, police sources said. Air India Express completes one year of operations

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Air India Express, the low cost subsidiary airline of Air India, today completed one year of successful operation and is set to expand its operations soon.
