OBC quota issue: Medicos stage protest march

Bangalore, Apr 29 (UNI) Medical college students here today took out a protest march against the Union Government's move to enhance OBC quotas in Central Educational Institutions.

They also submitted a memorandum to Governor T N Chaturvedi.

The students had been boycotting classes for the last three days, in a show of solidarity with medicos in New Delhi.

The students warned that they would intensify their agitation, if the government went ahead with its proposal.

Works on to complete two new dams in Manipur

Imphal, Apr 30 (UNI) The irrigation and flood control department (IOFCD), Manipur, has started works on a war-footing to complete construction of two dams-- Khuga and Thoubal in the state.
