NFL earns a profit of Rs 110.16 crore

New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL), a leading producer in nitrogenous fertilizers in the country, has registered a net profit of Rs 110.16 crore for the year 2005-06.

Its gross profit before tax was Rs 169.06 crore during this period.

During 2005-06, NFL produced 33.44 lakh tonnes of urea with a record capacity-utilisation of 103.5 per cent. Besides, it made a record production of bio-fertilizers at 175 tonnes against installed capacity of 110 tonne and 4,88,789 tonnes of Neem-coated urea, the product NFL had pioneered.

The company sold 33.64 lakh tonnes of urea with its acutal dispatches of 33.19 lakh tonnes during 2005-06, said NFL Chairman and Managing Director G S Mangat here today.

It has bagged several awards in the fields of safety, environment and energy development including 'Prashansa Patra-2005'.

World cotton supply may continue to grow in 2006-07

Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) World cotton supply and demand have reached record levels in 2005-06 and they are set to reach new highs in 2006-07, according to for forecast made by the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), In its latest issue, ICAC states that world cotton supply consisting of beginning stock plus production reached a record 35.7 million tonnes in 2005-06, and almost one million tonnes mroe than in 2004-05 and almsot six million tonnes.....

BSE/NSE,Commodities market to be closed on Maharashtra Day
