Major sex scandle unearthed in Kashmir, politicians involved

Srinagar, Apr 29 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir police has unearthed a major sex abuse racket when they arrested three persons, official sources said.

They said some politicians, businessmen and senior security force and police officials are involved in the racket.

They said more than 40 girls were being used in the flesh trade and making blue films.

Giving details, the sources said that some local residents lodged a complaint with the Shaheedgunj in the old city alleging that some pimps were blackmailing teenage girls and forcing them to pose in blue films.

They also presented two blue film CDs to police in which two girls of the locality were filmed. It was only after the girls and their parents were questioned, police came to know about the majorsex scandle.

The girls later identified 43 more girls who have been forced to enter into the flesh trade.

During the questioning police came to know that these girls were being supplied allegedly to politicians, senior police, security force officers and some businessmen.

Police station Shaheedgunj has registered an FIR, numbered 20/2006 under section 67 Information Act, 07 PITA and 376 RPC.

A police press release issued here this evening said that four persons, including a woman, involved in the scandle have been identified.

It said three accused people have been arrested and efforts are on to nab the fourth.

Investigation is still going on and the police expects to take the case toits logical conclusion soon, the release said.

Earlier, Director General of Police Gopal Sharma said that all those involved in the racket would be taken to task. Nobody will be spared, he assured.

Over Rs 1.60 crore spent for Gujjar and Bakerwal in Kashmir

Water problem easing

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI)Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information and public Relations, Mr Mohd Ali Shabbir today said the water problem has been easing in the state following good monsoon last year and the initiatives taken up by the state government.
