ICICI Bank Q4 FY 06 net profit up at Rs 789.93 crore

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) ICICI Bank Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 789.93 crore in Q4 FY 06 as against Rs 614.70 crore in Q4 FY 05, the company informed the BSE today.

Its total income has increased from Rs 3,637.54 crore in Q4 FY 05 to Rs 5,591.71 crore in Q4 FY 06.

For FY 06, the private sector banking major has posted a net profit of Rs 2,540.07 crore as against Rs 2,005.20 crore in FY 05, while its total income has increased from Rs 12,826.04 crore in FY 05 to Rs 18,767.63 crore in FY 06.

ICICI Bank Limited has also declared its group consolidated results at a net profit of Rs 774.73 crore in Q4 FY 06 as against Rs 604.87 crore in Q4 FY 05, while its total income has increased from Rs 5,548 crore in Q4 FY 05 to Rs 8,102.18 crore in Q4 FY 06.

For FY 06, the group's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 2,420.09 crore as against Rs 1,852.33 crore in FY 05. Total income also increased from Rs 16,931.39 crore in FY 05 to Rs 25,761.09 crore in FY 06.

The Board of Directors of ICICI Bank has recommended a dividend for FY 06 at 0.001 per cent or Rs 100 per preference share on 350 preference shares of the face value of Rs 1 crore and a dividend of 85 per cent or Rs 8.50 per equity share of face value of Rs 10 each, subject to requisite approvals.

Two killed, as many injured in accident

Aurangabad (Maharashtra) Apr 29 (UNI) Two people were killed the spot and two others seriously injured when a car in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Sillod town of this district in early today. Both the injured have been admitted to the Government Medical and Hospital (GMCH) while the Sillod rural police have registered an offence against the truck driver for rash driving, police sources said.
