Gulbarga records highest temperature of 42.4 deg celsius

Bangalore, Apr 29 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Dry weather prevailed over the State. Maximum temperatures rose at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.4 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Mainly dry weather may prevail over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Mainly dry weather may prevail over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Maximum temperature would be around 36 degree celsius. UNI SKB1538

SBT profit touches Rs 258.68 crore

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 29 (UNI) The State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has made a net profit of Rs 258.68 crore during the year ended March 31 as against Rs 247.13 crore in the last fiscal.
