Former BPSC staff lands in jail

Patna, Apr 29 (UNI) Special vigilance judge of Patna Ramniwas Prasad today remanded former personal assistant to BPSC chairman Ran Singhasan Singh to judicial custody in a DA case till May 12 next.

The accused, Ramashish Singh, formerly posted in BPSC and currently working as a stenographer in science and technology department, was produced before the designated judge after his arrest by vigilance investigation bureau.

According to the charges, the accused amassed property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

His former boss, Mr Ram Sinhasan Singh is also languishing in jail in connection with irregularities committed in competetive examination conducted by BPSC.

BDO arrested for misappropriation of govt fund

Shailendra Kaur could not come to depose in the court today

New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) Ms Shailendra Kaur, wife of prime accused Maninder Pal Singh Kohli could not come to the court today to record her statement in the rape and murder of British teenager schoolgirl Hannah Foster. NBA files rejoinder in Supreme Court

New Delhi, Apr 29 (UNI) Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) seeking stay against the ongoing construction to raise the height of the Sardar Sarovar Dam project today filed a rejoinder in the Supreme Court. The NBA has strongly refuted the claim of the Madhya Pradesh government that the oustees have alredy been rehabilitated.
