Fifteen tribale Killed 35 hostages releas in Chhattisgarh

Jagdalpur, Bastar, Apr 29 (UNI) Police today recovered bodies of 13 hostages, taking to 15 the number of people killed by CPI(M) naxalites, and later released 35 other villagers abducted on April 25 at Manikonta village in Dantewada district.

The bodies of 13 youth, in 18-35 year age group, were found lying this morning on the roadside on Sukma-Konta road nearby the village.

Police said naxals released the rest hostages in afternoon. All of them were taken to Doranpal relief camp.

After postmortem on the spot, the last rites was performed at the village itself, police added.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh reiterated that naxalism will be uprooted and the campaign against the ultras will be intensified.

During a meeting of the Bastar Development Authority here, Dr Singh paid tributes to the deceased tribals and expressed grief over the killing of innocent people.

He called upon political parties to come forward to wipe out naxalism.

Naxals kill 5 abducted tribals

Jagdalpur, Bastar, Apr 29 (UNI) CPI(Maoist) naxalites have killed seven of the 50 tribals abducted in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, police said. Five more bodies have been recovered today.
