CPI(ML) Liberation accuses CPI(M) of attacking its candidates

Malda, Apr 29 (UNI) CPI (ML) Liberation today accused CPI(M) of attacking its candidate of Gajol assembly seat in Malda.

In a statement, CPI (ML) Liberation state secretary Kartick Pal alleged that today evening CPI (M) 'miscreants' had attacked candidate Dantal Maddi, polling agent Mritunjoy Das and state committee member Nabakumar Biswas.

Mr Pal also demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants, who had attacked his party members.

He claimed that CPI (M) had attacked them as the rural community were supporting CPI (ML) Liberation party.

Malda, along with Coochbehar, Darjeeling, South and North Dinajpur, would go to the polls on May 8 in the fourth phase of assembly polls in West Bengal.

Mahajan to undergo another minor surgery

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Grievously injured senior BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, battling for his life since April 22, will undergo another minor surgery for replacing packs in his liver at Hinduja Hospital today. The surgery will take place at 1100 hrs. BJP spokesperson Vinod Tavde said, ''Mr Mahajan will undergo minor surgery to remove his blood packs.''
