Cong leader shot, conspiracy case against Abhay Chautala

Sirsa, Apr 29 (UNI) A Youth Congress leader was shot dead by armed assailants near Dabwali town of Sirsa district today and a conspiracy case was registered against Rajya Sabha MP Abhay Chautala, son of former chief minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supermo Om Parkash Chautala in this connection.

Dabwali Youth Congress President Chander Singh Brar was taken away by a group of armed assailants this morning on the pretext of showing him some property. His bullet-ridden body was later found near Gauriwala and Ganga villages later in the day.

Police said the family members of the deceased had lodged a conspiracy case under section 120B against Mr Abhay Chautala and another INLD leader Vinod Arora, who was former Sirsa district president of the youth wing of INLD.

Police also registered a case under sections 302 and 306 against Neetu and two others in connection with the murder of the youth Congress leader.

Police said his body had been sent for postmortem and the matter was being investigated.

Fresh summons to IPS officer by Women's Commission

Patna, Apr 30 (UNI) The Bihar State Women's Commission today issued fresh summons against IPS officer Amitabh Kumar Das, facing charges of sexually exploiting the daughter of a retired DIG, as he failed to appear before the Commission. Hajipur, Apr 30 (UNI) At least 17 CPI (Maoist) cadres were arrested in Sadar police station area in Vaishali district late last night in a special combing operation following the Maoist attack on a bank and a police station at Jandaha area recently. No confirmation about Suryanarayan's killing yet : Ahamed

New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed today said the government has also received information about the location of the body of abducted engineer K Suryanarayan in Afghanistan, but so far there is no confirmation.
