Ashok Leyland Q4 net declines 6.52 pc, dividend at 120 pc

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) Ashok Leyland Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 133.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 142.76 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous year, a decline of 6.52 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income is Rs 1745.83 crore for Q4 FY 06 as against Rs 1492.67 crore in Q4 FY 05.

It has posted a net profit of Rs 327.32 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 271.41 crore for the last fiscal year. Total income is Rs 5280.63 crore for FY 06 as against Rs 4235.65 crore in FY 05.

The board of directors of the company has recommended a dividend of 120 per cent on the equity shares of the company for the year 2005-06.
