3 killed, 13 injured in road accident

Mandya, Apr 29 (UNI) Three persons were killed and 13 injured in a collision between a private bus and a car at Hosabudanur state highway, three km from here.

Police said the car was proceeding to Mysore when the mishap occurred.

While the deceased were inmates of the car, the injured were passengers of the bus, carrying a marriage party to Doddaballapur.

Two of the deceased were identified as Pavanianur and Aveesh, the car driver.

The injured were admitted to the General Hospital here.

Water shortage in 100 villages in Bijapur district

Bijapur, Apr 29 (UNI) More than 100 villages in Bijapur district face accute drinking water shortage, official sources indicated here today.
