Telugu film director seriously injured in attack

Hyderabad, Apr 24 (UNI) Telugu film director Rajamouli was seriously injured in a attack on the sets of the film 'Vikramarkudu'' near a quary on the outskirts of the city today.

Mr Rajamouli started his film shooting near this morning. After some time, blasting started in the quary. Film crew manager Ramesh objected to it, as it will disturb and could harm the crew.

Police said there was a heated argument between Ramesh and the owner of the quarry Gyaneshwar. The supporters of Gyaneshwar attacked the crew and damaged the vehicles and the shooting equipment.

Rajamouli was injured in the scuffle and admitted to a Corporate Hospital, police said.

The crew personnel sustained minor injuries.

Cut duty on LNG as feedstock for petrochemicals

New Delhi, Apr 24: The Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) has urged the government to cut the existing rate of customs duty on LNG from five per cent to zero per cent in order to bring it in parity with naphtha.Official sources said GAIL Chairman and Managing Director Proshanto Banerjee had written to Petroleum Secretary M S Srinivasan suggesting that the fiscal benefits available to naphtha, when used as feedstock for petrochemical production, should be extended to LNG......

Maken lauds DDA, CEMDE work in reviving Aravali flora and fauna
