Mumbai, Apr 24 (UNI) State BJP President Nitin Gadkari and former Lok Sabha speaker Manohar Joshi today performed pooja at 'Shidhivinayak' temple, here, praying for speedy recovery of senior party leader Pramod Mahajan, who is battling for life after being grievously injured when his younger brother shot him on Saturday.

Mr Vinod Tawade, BJP state General Secretary said Mr Gadkari and Mr Joshi alongwith several party workers at 0930 hrs performed pooja at the Shidhivinayak Temple for speedy recovery of their leader, who is currently admitted in the P D Hinduja Hospital.

Mr Tawade also said similar prayers would be held at different religious places including Mahalaxmi temple at Kolhapur, Vithal Rakhumai temple at Pandhurpur and Trimbakeshwar temple in Nashik between 1600 to 1800 hrs today.

Outfits demand arrest of Isaac's killers

AMU to remain a minority institution: SC

New Delhi, Apr 24: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will continue to be a minority institution in terms of the 1981 constitutional amendment. Jaya approaches SC against her disqualifiaction

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Samajwadi Party leader Jaya Bachchan, who was disqualified as Rajya Sabha member on the grounds of holding an ''office of profit'', has approached the Supreme Court challenging her disqualification.
