Minor fire at demestic terminal of IGI airport

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) A minor fire broke out tonight at the Indira Gandhi airport's domestic terminal building leading to the evacuation of the passengers.

As many as 12 fire tenders were rushed to extinguish the fire that broke out in the lounge located on the second floor at 2035 hrs, fire brigade sources said.

The sources said the fire spread to ITC lounge and Jet Airways office.

The fire was finally extinguished by 2140 hrs without extensive damage, the sources said.

Many passengers were evacuated for some time and some flights delayed.

Gunmen kill four policemen in Iraq's Tikrit

Afghans, Pakistan, US to hold first joint drill

KABUL, Apr 24 (Reuters) The US military plans to hold its first joint military exercises with Afghanistan and Pakistan along the border of the two countries, a spokesperson for the military said today. The manoeuvres, called Inspired Gambit, will be in the form of an ''air assault'' and are expected to be launched next month, Colonel Laurent Fox told a regular news briefing. FIFA out of step with WADA code, says CAS
