Indiabulls Q4 net profit up 236%

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) India Bulls today announced an increase in net profit for the Fourth Quarter(Q4) by 236 per cent with a figure of Rs 80.38 crore.

Income for the period registered a growth of 179 per cent with a total income of Rs 195.5 crore.

Earnings per share increased to Rs 4.63 from Rs 2.02 for the corresponding quarter in the previous year. This is an Y-on-Y growth of 129 per cent.

The net profit for the entire year works out to Rs 253.36 crore with a year on year growth rate of 347 per cent.

The total income for the the entire year(ending March 2006) was Rs 613.15 crore with the year on year growth of 264 per cent.

The earnings per share (EPS) for the entire year increased to Rs 15.61 from Rs 5.10, with a year on year growth rate of 206 per cent.

The company said its total customer base in the Securites Business increased to over 236,000.

No impact of militant boycott call for poll in JK

Baramulla, Apr 24: About 50 per cent voters today cast their ballots in three Assembly constituencies of Pattan, Rafiabad and Sangrama amid thick security blanket despite militant outfits and separatist groups urging the people to boycott polls.An official spokesman said 50 per cent polling was recorded till 1600 hrs in these three constituencies.There was no report of any major untoward incident, he said.He said highest voter turnout of 55 per cent was recorded in Rafiabad assembly.....

Support any party other than far-right BNP: Cameron

London, Apr 24 (UNI) British Conservative leader David Cameron has called on voters in next month's English local elections to support any party other than the British National Party (BNP). He accused the far-Right BNP of ''thriving on hatred'' and setting one race against the other. ''I hope nobody votes for the BNP. I would rather have people vote for any other party,'' Mr Cameron told Sky News. His remarks reflect growing alarm.....

1 killed, 10 injured in road mishap

Mysore, Apr 24 (UNI) One person was killed and ten were injured in a collision between an autorickshaw and a private bus near Induvalu village in Mandya district of Karnataka today. Police said the mishap occurred when the autorickshaw, carrying nine people, was proceeding to Thonnur. A cyclist also sustained injuries when the autorickshaw hit him under the impact of the collision. The injured were admitted to the district hospital at Mandya. UNI BSP RG RKN1725.....
