HCL Infosystems net profit decline by 7 cr

Mumbai, Apr 24 (UNI) HCL Infosystems Ltd has recorded a decline in its net profit by Rs 7 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 compared to same period in the previous year. HCL posted a net profit of Rs 34.5 crore for Q3 FY 06 as compared to Rs 41.3 crore for the Q3 FY 05. However the total income has increased from Rs 528.2 crore in Q3 FY 05 to Rs 665.10 crore for Q3 FY 06.

In contrast, the consolidated results for the group has shown an increase in the net profit. The profits increased to Rs 84.44 crore for Q3 FY 06 compared to Rs 65.40 crore over the correspondng period. The total income has also increased from Rs 2,005.39 crore in Q3 FY 05 to Rs 3,199.08 crore in Q3 FY 06, a company release said to BSE today.

Company's board of directors has declared third interim (quarterly) dividend of Rs 2 per fully paid up equity share of Rs 2 each for the Financial Year 2005-06. The aggregate of interim (quarterly) dividends paid represents 300 per cent for nine months.
