Chennai Police going all out to ensure fair poll

Chennai, Apr 24 : Greater Chennai City police is making all out efforts to ensure a free and fair poll during the May 8 elections to the State Assembly.

City Police Commissioner Ms Letika Saran told reporters here today they had arrested 763 anti-social elements in the city in the last 15 days to have an incident-free election. A separate team had been formed arrest known criminals against whom non-bailable arrest warrents were pending.

She said Central Reserve Police Force personnel were expected to arrive here on May 3 to assist local police in poll bandobust duty.
