Five, including 2 CBI inspectors, arrested for bribery in CGHS scam

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigations has arrested five persons, including two of its Inspectors, in raids across 30 places in connection with the alleged charges of bribery in the Cooperative Group Housing Society (CGHS) scam.

Inspectors Yoginder Kumar and N M Sherawat, along with advocates S K Gupta and Jaideep Malik and a mobile phone dealer R K Bisht, were arrested after raids were conducted at more than 30 places today, according to the CBI today.

The raids were conducted after charges flew against investigators that they took bribe to favour the accused in the CGHS scam besides trying to influence others investigating the case.

Incriminating documents showing links between the accused and property papers and cash worth Rs eleven lakh were seized during the raids.
