DELL Computer Center launched in Hyd

Hyderabad, Apr 24: DELL International Services Managing Director Romi Malhotra today inaugurated the first DELL Computer Center near Nampally in Hyderabad, in coordination with an NGO, `HOPE Foundation', to impart computer education to under-served students of the twin cities.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Malhotra said the company had also set up similar DELL Computer Centers in two schools in Bangalore. Set up with funds from DELL Foundation, the Hyderabad Center was equipped with 30 state-of-the-art DELL desktop computers.

The Center would also provide opportunities for DELL employees in Hyderabad to share their time and knowledge and become role models for children, he added.

Mr Malhotra said they had made Hyderabad home for the last few years and they continued to grow here. ''We have a resolve to actively contribute to the local community. This is our commitment to global citizenship and our vision of bridging the digital divide by utilising DELL technology.

DELL International Services, Hyderabad Site Director Jaideep Pradhan said the Center was part of their endeavour to enable children from under-served sections of society to acquire IT knowledge and progress in the digitally driven world. DELL Computer Center reaffirmed DELL's ongoing community outreach initiatives under `h.u.g' (Helping U Grow) programme and it was DELL's way of reaching out to the children of India. This program involved employee engagement and support for communities through commitments of time, expertise and technology, he added.

HOPE Foundations Dr Ashok Prabath said HOPE's approach had been to give the under-served students the necessary tools to compete on equal terms. The DELL Computer Center would bring in cutting edge technology that would allow us to impact knowledge better.

Indiabulls Q4 net profit up 236%

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) India Bulls today announced an increase in net profit for the Fourth Quarter(Q4) by 236 per cent with a figure of Rs 80.38 crore. Income for the period registered a growth of 179 per cent with a total income of Rs 195.5 crore. Earnings per share increased to Rs 4.63 from Rs 2.02 for the corresponding quarter in the previous year. This is an Y-on-Y growth of 129 per cent......
