Decision on construction of Ski village on merits: CM

Shimla, Apr 24 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today reiterated his government's resolve for taking decision on the construction of the Ski Village in Kullu district on merit after taking into consideration all aspects.

''The project was one of the biggest investment in the country, which will provide direct and indirect employment to over 3,000 people of the area, besides attracting high-end tourists to the state,'' he said, while talking to a delegation of Kullu people who called on him here.

Mr Singh said the American company was yet to submit its detailed project report (DPR) to the government and which would be examined on merit basis before arriving at any decision.

He also assured the delegation that interests of the state and its people would be protected at all costs.

People of the valley should not be misled by the sustained campaign led by the vested interest who were opposing the project from the very beginning he added.
