Burglar arrested, jewels worth Rs 6 lakh recovered

Mysore, Apr 24 (UNI) The city crime branch police have arrested a burglar and recovered jewellery worth Rs six lakh from him.

Police said Behboob Khan from Bangalore was involved in a number of burglary cases in the city over the last two years.

He had confessed to the crime during interrogation, the police added.

Faizabad, Apr 24 (UNI) A local court today posted the hearing in the July 5, 2005 Ayodhya fidayeen attack case for May 3 and extended the judicial custody of all the five accused till that date. Fake notes smuggled in through Nepal border

Siliguri, Apr 24: Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is actively involved in smuggling fake notes to India through Nepal to destabilise the Indian economy, a Sasashtra Seema Bal (SSB) investigation revealed. The SSB had already informed the Union Home Ministry and West Bengal government about the rampant pushing of fake currency notes of 500 and 1000 denominations into India through the porous borders of Nepal. Earlier Bangladesh was a safe haven for such clandestine export of fake Indian currencies.....
