AIMECA rescheduled application for AICET to May 10

Chennai, Apr 20 (UNI) The All India Medical and Engineering Colleges Association (AIMECA) has announced that the last date for applying for the All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) has been extended from April 10 to May 10.

The Association, which proposed to conduct the entrance test to fill up seats under management quota in unaided colleges in the country said the AICET would he held on May 27 and 28 at different centres in the country.

Aspiring candidates could download the application from Association's website www.aimeca.org or www.aicet.org, a press release from the Association said.

World class cricket stadiums in J

Srinagar, Apr 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) president Farooq Abdullah has said world class stadiums will soon come up in the state as the BCCI has agreed to release Rs 10 crore for the purpose. He said these cricket stadiums at both Jammu and Srinagar would have world class and modern facilities. The BCCI will also release Rs 6 crore which it had withheld due to delay in submitting the statement of accounts.....

Metals in stratosphere on funds and supply woes

SINGAPORE, Apr 24 (Reuters) Industrial metals raced to near new unbreached territory on Monday, with copper just below the $7,000 a tonne mark on persistent concerns over supply disruptions and on relentless fund buying. By 0701 GMT, London Metal Exchange copper for delivery in three months was up $80 at $6,860/$6,890 a tonne from Friday's London close. Copper earlier jumped on Select to $6,930, topping Friday's record high of $6,850. ''The evidence is the underlying trend.....
