1 killed, 10 injured in road mishap

Mysore, Apr 24 (UNI) One person was killed and ten were injured in a collision between an autorickshaw and a private bus near Induvalu village in Mandya district of Karnataka today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the autorickshaw, carrying nine people, was proceeding to Thonnur. A cyclist also sustained injuries when the autorickshaw hit him under the impact of the collision.

The injured were admitted to the district hospital at Mandya.

Ayodhya fidayeen attack case posted for May 3

Faizabad, Apr 24 (UNI) A local court today posted the hearing in the July 5, 2005 Ayodhya fidayeen attack case for May 3 and extended the judicial custody of all the five accused till that date. Fake notes smuggled in through Nepal border

Siliguri, Apr 24: Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is actively involved in smuggling fake notes to India through Nepal to destabilise the Indian economy, a Sasashtra Seema Bal (SSB) investigation revealed. The SSB had already informed the Union Home Ministry and West Bengal government about the rampant pushing of fake currency notes of 500 and 1000 denominations into India through the porous borders of Nepal. Earlier Bangladesh was a safe haven for such clandestine export of fake Indian currencies.....

FICCI launches National Programme on Clean Development Mechanism

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) A national programme on creating awareness on Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) was today launched by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) aimed at reducing green house gas (GHG) emission in the country.
