Bangalore, Apr 22: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy expressed shock over BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan being grievously wounded after being shot at by his younger brother in Mumbai today.
In a message here, he said ''I pray that Mr Mahajan should recoup from his wounds and return to active politics soon. I pray that the Almighty give him enough strength to come out of this ordeal.'' The former Union Minister was in a critical condition and still on ventilator as the three bullets, which shattered his liver, extensively damaged his pancreas and duodenum, besides injuring small intestine, were still embedded in his body and could not be removed.
Mr Pravin Mahajan pumped bullets into the abdomen, stomach and right hand of his elder brother, reportedly over a property dispute, between 0800 hrs and 0856 hrs at the BJP leader's 15th floor apartment in 'Poorna' building at Worli in Central Mumbai.
