Mah Cong welcomes HC verdict on dance bars

Mumbai, Apr 14 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) spokesman Sanjay Nirupam today welcomed the High Court verdict regarding the ban on dance bars.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Nirupam said the issue concerned livelihood of thousands of women and should be considered on humanitarian grounds.

He also criticised Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray for attending a Bhojpuri meeting recently, stating that it was attempt to garner votes.

Mr Nirupam, a former Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha member, said Raj Thackeray's new political outfit Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) was nothing but a ''second Shiv Sena''.
