Bangalore: Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna has expressed deep shock and sorrow on the demise of Kannada Superstar Dr M Rajkumar. In a message, Krishna said: "No words are adequate to describe the loss of Rajkumar from this world."

He was the rarest of rare phenomena to have happened to the Kannada film industry and the Indian film world at large. One of the all time great actors, a fine film producer and an acclaimed singer, Dr Rajkumar was truly a versatile genius. I had shared a very warm and intimate relationship with Dr Rajkumar.

He came across as a warm hearted person to anybody who met him.

It was this warmth that endeared him to millions of people in Karnataka and elsewhere and made him their beloved `Annavuru' (elder brother) and made humility that endeared him to millions of people in Karnataka and outside as his fans.

Rajkumar may no longer be with us, but he will continue to remain in our hearts through his celestial performances. I think it is the good fortune of people of the present generation they were contemporaries of Dr Rajkumar. I salute the memory of this great son of India and convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
