Suspension of work declared in Panighata Tea garden

Siliguri, Apr 7 (UNI) Management of Panighata Tea Garden under Naxalbari police station area in Darjeeling district declared suspension of work from yesterday rendering 1200 workers jobless.

Financial constraints led to the closure of the gardens.

Darjeeling district Chia Kaman Mazdoor Union general secretary Gautam Ghosh said the workers saw the notice on the gate when they went for work yesterday.

The workers alleged that they could not get the salary for last two months.
