President left for New Delhi

Bangalore, Apr 7 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam left here tonight for New Delhi after a two-day visit to Karnataka.

He was seen off at the air port by Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and top police officials.

Jamshedpur, Apr 7 (UNI) Police resorted to lathicharge to disperse two chashing groups belonging to two different Akharas during a Ramnavami procession at Sakchi area here this evening. Police said the violent clash took place when the akharas of Toiladungri and Manifit tried to overtake each other. Mani Shankar Aiyar to visit Goa

Panaji, Apr 7 (UNI) Union Minister for Panchayati Raj Mani Shankar Aiyar will arrive on a three-day official visit of Goa from April 10. During his stay, Mr Aiyar will hold meetings with representatives of local self bodies, zilla panchayat members and call on state Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane.
