Lalu to present awards to 3 officials

Vijayawada, Apr 7: The Railway Minister Lalu Prasad will present meritorious awards to three officials from Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway (SCR) in New Delhi on April ten.

A Railway official said Mr Yadav will award a cash prize of Rs 5,000 each and a momento to the concerned officials for their efficient performance.

A new bridge, would be constructed to to run the trains on both the lines in Vijayawada-Chennai section from April 20, the official added.

New Delhi, Dec 13: The CPI(M) today asked the countrymen to avoid travel on railways and other public transport tomorrow in view of its All-India General Strike to press for acceptance of the Left's 16-point charter of demands, including legislation to provide social security for the country's 370 million unorganised workers.
