Karan Johar to talk on tackling piracy at Cannes film fest

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) Leading Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar will give a talk on tackling piracy at the Cannes Film Festival, which begins on May 17.

Talking to reporters here, Karan said he has 12 days of work left for his forthcoming film 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'. ''I will be going to Malaysia to shoot a song sequence there and another schedule in July. Hopefully, I plan to release the film in August,'' he said.

He said that he would be in Cannes in the first weekend of the festival, where he will look for overseas distribution rights of his film.

''I am having a stall at the film market there. I want to make the right contacts to tap the overseas distribution market and ensure that the Indian films are put on world map. I am also looking for overseas distribution rights for my film,'' he added.

Karan said he would give a talk on tackling piracy at the festival.

To a question on how he will style himself as Aishwarya Rai and Mallika Sherawat made news for their designer clothes, glamour and style at the fetival, Karan said: ''They are glamorous women and have to take special attention to look good. I am content behind the camera. I am so stressed out due to my underproduction film, that I have got grey hair.'' He said having Amitabh Bachchan back on the sets of 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' after his illness was a moment of great happiness and joy.

The film has star-studded cast. Besides Big B, there are Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherji, Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Ramphal and Urmila Matondkar.

Arrest warrants issued against seven people under PBM

Rajkot, Apr 7 (UNI) Arrest warrants were issued today against seven people under Prevention of Black Marketing (PBM) Act after they were found indulging in adulteration of edible oils. 80 people to return to home after 13 years

Barasat, Apr 7(UNI) The Election Commision has asked the district administration to help 80 distressed people of Narayanpur village under Haroa Police Station to return to their homes fater being evicted from their places of origin 13 years ago, official sources said here today.
