Jharkhand, Orissa, AP continue to win

Ranchi, Apr 6 (UNI) Host Jharkhand, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh continued their winning streak while Rajasthan, MTNL-Delhi, Karnataka and NTR-New Delhi opened their accounts on the second day of fourth All India BSNL hockey tournament being played on the astroturf ground here.

Jharkhand trounced Gujrat 9-0 and Orissa beat Madhya Pradesh 3-0 while A P defeated J and K 5-1. In other matches of the day, Karnataka beat Maharashtra 5-0, NTR-New Delhi thrashed West Bengal 9-0, Rajasthan beat U P (East) 2-1 and MTNL New Delhi got the better of Tamilnadu by a margin of 3-0.

With todays' win, Jharkhand, Orissa and A P are on the top of point table in their respective groups. The final of the tournament being played on round robin league basis will be held on April 11.

RBI's cut-off rate for 10 year bonds and 7.50 pc GS 2034

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today set the cut-off rate at Rs 0.04 (four paise) per Rs 100 in underwriting for the auction of government stock of 10 years to be held on April 10 this year. Similarly RBI set the cut-off rate at Rs 0.09 (nine paise) per Rs 100 in the underwriting for the auction of 7.50 per cent Government Security (GS) of 2034 to be held on April 10......

Over 16,000 farmers benefitted by UPCRDB OTS scheme

Lucknow, Apr 7 (UNI) Over 16,000 farmers have been benefitted from One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme of loan repayment being operated by the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Rural Development Bank Limited (UPCRDB). State PWD minister and Chairman of UPCRDB Limited Shivpal Singh Yadav said here today that as many as 16,194 farmers had derived benefits from the OTS scheme till March 31, 2006 by repaying their loans and subsequently availing a rebate of Rs 625.61 lakh......
