IT major Teledata takes over London based I-Max

Mumbai, Apr 7: IT major Teledata Informatics has taken over 80 per cent shares in London based I-Max Networks, through their subsidiary Voicetec Systems to strengthen its presence in the tele-communciations sector.

As a cost effective tele-communications solutions provider, I-Max's core business is based on wholesale and retail of international voice traffic and aggregating traffic for incumbent local operators. However, their subsidiary Voicetec Systems caters to wholesale business, said a company release to BSE.

Teledata is expected to benefit with a full suite of voice and data switching capabilities at the facilities in London, where I-Max with the help of hardware vendor and technical experts switches millions of International minutes globally. Also round the clock support as and when required by the customers would help Teledata to provide global services on time.

Thieves target Shejwar's house

Raisen, MP, Apr 7 (UNI) Unidentified men broke into senior BJP leader Gauri Shankar Shejwar's bungalow here last night, police said. Dr Shejwar's nephew Kuldip Bagri informed the police after he came to know about the theft this morning. Sniffer dogs were put into action immediately. SC issues notice to RS Secretary on Sakshi's expulsion

New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) The Supreme Court today issued notice to Rajya Sabha Secretary Yogendra Narain on a petition of former Rajya Sabha member Swami Sakshi Maharaj challenging his expulsion from the House for his alleged involvement in the MP Local Area Development (LAD) funds scandal. Govt to hike tariff in tourist resorts

Aizawl, Apr 7 (UNI) The Mizoram government plans to increase room tariff in all the Government-owned tourist resorts across the region. Talking to the media, State Tourism Minister Z H Ropuia said once the on-going work for the improvement of tourist lodges across the state is completed, his department is likely to hike room the tariff.
