Bangalore, Apr 7 (UNI) IDS Software Solutions India will triple its headcount in India and emerge a main development centre for the parent company International Decision Systems (IDS) churning out software products in the leasing segment.
IDS President Todd Davis told newsmen here that the Bangalore Centre was integral to the achievement of IDS in the first in the world implementation of its products Profina and Rapport, specialised leasing and asset management software. ''Our vision of growth includes expended Bangalor operations to meet the rapid development cycle of these recent market entreries''.
IDS had already invested 500,000 dollars in the Indian Centre and a similar investment would be made before 2008 for creation of additional infrastructure, he added. Currently, it had a strength of 50 software engineers and they would be tripled by 2008 he said.
Mr Srikanth Sundararajan, Executive vice President of the company and Managing Director for India operations said Bangalore was an important extension of the domain expertise with the Company in the US and the UK.
The Bangalore Centre provided a unique opportunity to drive technology and development leadership required for next generation products of IDS, he added. Rapid innovation would become the key to provide best in class solutions, he added.
