HC starts IVRS

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) Bombay High Court has launched an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) which would provide the status of one's case on telephone.

The new inquiry service was inaugurated by Chief Justice Kshitij Vyas yesterday.

Informtion would be available on telephone number 22673090 between 0800 hrs and 2100 hrs in three languages--English, Hindi and Marathi.

As many as 40 calls yesterday and 80 today were received on the system, an official release said.

A similar IVRS would be launched at the Aurangabad and Nagpur bench of the High Court this month. The Goa bench had already put the system in place earlier.

SR to run special trains

Chennai, Apr 7 (UNI) The Southern Railway (SR) today announced special trains to Bangalore and Ernakulam to clear extra rush. The Chennai Central-Bangalore special will leave here at 2130 hrs on April nine and arrive Bangalore at 0515 hrs on April ten, a Railway release here said. The Bangalore-Ernakulam Superfast specials will leave Bangalore at 1715 hrs on April eight, ten, 12 and 14 and arrive Ernakulam at 0430 hrs the next day. In the return direction.....
