Ghai to hit celluloid with his biggest film ever

Lucknow, Apr 7 (UNI) Indian film industry showman Subhash Ghai, who has given super duper hits such as Karz, Khalnayak, Ram Lakhan, Saudagar and Pardes, is planning what he promises as his 'biggest ever' film.

The film would not only offer vintage flavoured Ghai style of movies, but the wide canvas and the multi starcast would be a 'never before' from the stable of his production company Mukta Arts.

''It would be a musical extravaganza with inputs for all classes and perhaps be my biggest film so far,'' the ace director told UNI here.

Ghai, whose last two directorial ventures 'Yaadein' and 'Kisna' failed to stir the box office, had in the recent past produced films like 'Aitraaz' and much-acclaimed 'Iqbal' directed by Nagesh Kuknoor. He was here on the premier of his new production 'Shadi Se Pahle' directed by Satish Kaushik.

Refusing to acknowledge that his magic was waning, the showman said ''my new directorial venture will have the glimpse of old school of Ghai.'' In reply to a question, he said he was out of direction for some time as he was busy with the launching of his film institute 'Whistling Woods International', claimed to be the biggest institute of its kind in Asia.

It would teach all aspects of film-making and comprise high profile faculty in the likes of Nasseruddin Shah, Shyam Benegal and Aruna Raje.

''Now, since the institute is complete, I planning to direct the new venture at the earliest. The start cast and the location is being finalised the concluding touches to the script are being given.'' Mukta Arts is coming out with another film next month -- a thriller-comedy directed by Abbas and Mastan titled '36 China Town', followed by yet another Nagesh Kuknoor offerring.
