Genus Overseas bags Rs 117.65 crore order from WBSEB

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) Genus Overseas Electronics Limited has bagged a Rs 117.65-crore order from the West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB) for agri-metering, a press release here today said.

This the biggest ever order to be placced by any state electricity board for metering project in recent times. The order is for metering of tube-wells in agriculture fields in different districts of West Bengal.

The meters are to be supplied over a six month period. These three phase meters whose reading will be through low power radio equipments (LPR), is part of the automatic meter reading project developed by the company's in-house research and development, the release said.

The company has orders in hand worth above Rs. 450-crore as on date, the release added.

IVRS facility for rubber market

Kottayam, Apr 7 (UNI) The Rubber Board has set up an IVRS facility for making rubber prices available to the general public over telephone. Both domestic and international prices will be available through interactive voice response system, a release said here today. The system to be installed at the Board's Head Office here will be inaugurated by the Rubber Board Chairman on April ten. The daily price updating will be done by the Market Promotion.....

NCDEX records trade worth Rs 3,833 cr

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) As many as 552 members of the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchanges (NCDEX) participated in trading worth Rs 3,833 crore (one way) upto 1700 hrs today. There were 90,530 trades put through by them. Active trades were high in guarseeds, chana, refined soy oil, silver, gold and urad, a NCDEX release said. Call rates and bond prices close lower

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) Call rates closed lower in the range of 5.50-5.70 per cent as compared to the last close of 5.60-5.80 per cent as the liquidity problems seemed to be getting over. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) absorbed Rs 32,715 crore through daily reverse-repo auctions from the money market, while it did not inject any money in the market. In the first three-day reverse repo-auction, RBI absorbed Rs 6,020 crore through 13.....
