Father loses life while rescuing son

Akola, Apr 7 (UNI) A father died here while trying to rescue his son from a well at Sasti village.

Mahadeo Mhatre (45) had gone to the fields with his wife and son.

He asked his son Ram to fetch water from the well when he slipped and fell into the well. Mhadeo jumped behind Ram to rescue his son and prevent him from drowning.

Hearing their cries for help, locals jumped into the well and brought father and son out. However, Mahadeo was brought dead, while his son came out alive, police said.
