English team takes ''sunset cruise'' on Kerala backwaters

Kochi, Apr 7 (UNI) The entire English team, some of them accompanied by their family members, today took a ''sunset cruise'' on the backwaters, widely known for their scenic beauty and tranquility.

The visitors went boating on the Kochi backwaters for nearly two hours and came back very impressed by the scenic beauty all around, sources at the Taj Malabar, where both the Indian and English teams are staying, said.

The Indian team, however, did not step out during the day except for Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who took some time out to inaugurate a mega silk saree showroom in the city.

The rest of the Indian team members preferred to relax in the hotel. While coach Greg Chapell was seen relaxing in the lawns during the morning, the other team members spent time at the swimming pool or in their rooms.

Skipper Rahul Dravid, who is to be rested for the next two one-dayers, was expected to leave the city today while the two teams would be leaving for Guwahati, the venue for the 5th ODI, tomorrow morning.

Petroleum Ministry signs MoUs with Imperial College, London

London, Apr 7 (UNI) India today signed two agreements with the Imperial College, and London University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom to strengthen research and development in the petroleum sector.
