DMA pledges to provide quality healthcare

New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) The Delhi Medical Association (DMA) today pledged to work along with all those involved in providing quality healthcare in society.

''The support staff and the paramedics are involved in a big way in providing quality healthcare... and we all must commit to work together,'' DMA Convenor Ashwini Dalmiya told reporters here during the World Health Day celebrations.

The DMA asked its members to conduct training sessions to update the paramedical staff in their respective fields.

Several doctors were honoured for their contribution towards providing standard healthcare.

Bhopal, Apr 7 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government will cull nearly 1,000 fowls in five villages of Burhanpur district tomorrow to stamp out bird flu. The decision comes in the wake of backyard poultry samples at Pipari village in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district testing positive. The five villages -- Biroda, Bholawa, Garhtal, Pipalphata and Mukhawara -- are within a radius of 10 km from the village, an official release said here today. Compensation will be paid.....

All localities in UP capital to have hospitals: Minister

Lucknow, Apr 7 (UNI) Every locality of the Uttar Pradesh capital will soon have a hospital of its own, State Health and Family Welfare Minister Ahmad Hassan announced here today. Addressing a function after inaugurating the neo natal intensive care unit at the Child and Women Hospital, Indiranagar here, Mr Hassan said that a proposal was being sent to the government for developing small size hospitals in every locality of the capital city, to provide.....
