Digvijay wins DDA Open Golf Championship

New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) Digvijay Singh lifted his first title of the season pipping Ashok Kumar in a close contest at the DDA Open Golf tourney here today.

The winner returned with an impressive tournament tally of 19-under 261 courtesy a final round 68 to take home a prize purse of Rs 1,58,200.

Ashok Kumar, who also shot a 68 today, finished with an aggregate of 18-under 262 to settle for Rs 1,08,700.

Bangalore boys S Madhaiah and C Muniyappa finished tied for the third position at 265, while Delhi's Dinesh Kumar finished fifth at 266. Mukesh Kumar finished tied sixth with Kolkata's Shankar Das at 267.

After a sedate front nine with a sole bogey on the fourth, Digvijay, on his way back, birdied on the 12th but dropped a shot on the 14th. On the 16th hole, while Digvijay birdied, Ashok-played a par from an easy birdie situation to seal his fate.

Ashok's round included a birdie on the fourth and a bogey on the sixth where he two putted from eight feet. On his return journey, Ashok birdied the tenth, 12th, 15th and 18th with a double bogey on the 14th putting a dampener on his title aspirations.

Hewlett Packard sets up innovation lab at IIIT-Bangalore

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) The Indian film industry is expected to double its revenue in the next four years with the theatres going digital and multiplexes booming up, and the producers eyeing foreign shooting locations more than in the past.
