Communalising internal polity is to surrender: Advani

Vadodara, Gujarat, Apr 7 (UNI) Senior BJP leader L K Advani today asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and congress President Sonia Gandhi not to cheat the people of the country by claiming that there was no compromise on the issue of illegal infiltration from Bangladesh.

Addressing a public meeting in this sensitive town, Mr Advani said "communalising internal polity was not just a compromise but a surrender".

He said he totally agreed with Congress president Sonia Gandhi's statement saying "communalising external affairs of the country was a crime. He also said "if the Congress gives up its tilt towards minoritism on internal matters, politics of this country can undergo dramatic changes".

Referring to unabated infiltrations taking place in the eastern side of the border, Mr Advani said the country faces the dangers of a second partition of India.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed alongwith Mr Advani said the appeasement policies of the UPA government had crossed all limits, creating an insecure atmosphere from all sides.

"The system which went all out against a woman for changing her statement before the court was working overtime to free the killers of the Godhra massacre," he charged.
