BJP wants white paper on YSR's tour expenses

Rajahmundry, Apr 7: BJP State Vice-President Somuveerraju today demanded the government to bring out a white paper on the money spent on Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's tours during the two-year rule to launch various programmes of the Congress Party.

Addressing presspersons, Mr Somuveerraju said Dr Reddy was emulating his predecessor Chandrababau Naidu of the TDP who spent a huge sum of public money for launching various programmes during his tenure as Chief Minister and sought the white paper.

He claimed Dr Reddy was using the tours only to boost his image.

The BJP leader explained a lot of savings could be effected by using technology to launch the programmes in districts sitting in the state capital. This will also help the Chief Minister to save valuable time for administration.

Mr Somuveerraju also asked the government to implement micro financing system under Reserve Bank of India norms to help rural people.

He also informed Senior BJP Leader L K Advani's rath yatra will reach Anantapur on April 15.
